Thesis
On April 15th, 1947, Jackie
Robinson became the first African American to play on a Major League Baseball
team, ending years of segregation, and afterwards, he continued to advocate for
equal rights. His persistence,
dedication, and leadership on and off the baseball field led to the acceptance
of African-Americans and brought equality in many areas beyond baseball. His commitment to fighting for civil rights gave
African-Americans the opportunity to further integrate in American society and gain
full citizenship.
